This year Paul and I were sooo tempted to get a little tree for our apartment. We missed the smell and it wasn't really feeling like 'Christmas', not to mention they were selling the cutest baby trees everywhere we went. But, we resisted. Since we were headed off for christmas spectacular, we decided it would be a waste.
Then we got to the apartment in Vienna and the whole family agreed that we were missing a tree... well... someone in the family has a mild case of kleptomania and the cafe below our apartment had a mild case of 'too many trees'... so, tada, we had a tree. Borrowed. It didn't have many decorations, it was a little lopsided, but it smelled perfect. Oh Christmas tree!
We returned it after Christmas, when we no longer had a use for it. Please note that no trees were harmed with this act of borrowing, instead one was given a loving and warm home for a few days.

Do I know the kleptomaniac you mention? I wouldn't be surprised! Happy New Year. I am envious of your experience and thanks for sharing?!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHa, nope, I have two kleptomaniacs in my life and this tree is taller than one of them so she's not responsible (this time) :) Thanks for stopping by and happy new year.
